Congresswoman Summer Lee recently tweeted:

"While the world's gaze was elsewhere, Israel launched a deadly attack on Rafah, where 1.4 million Palestinians were not there by accident, but forced to this last 'safe zone' as their homes & lives were destroyed everywhere else in Gaza. There's nowhere left to go.

"We cannot, as the people elected to lead with moral clarity, think merely criticizing Netanyahu is enough. How he's conducting his war, largely on civilians, is indefensible. As long as we send weapons & a blank check, we're more than complicit in the nearly 30,000 lives lost."

When a member of Congress who has demanded a ceasefire for months points out that "anti-war" grumbling is not enough from the government providing the weapons for the slaughter, weapons companies and the Israel lobby cannot be pleased.

Congresswoman Summer Lee already has a primary challenger with the support of those backing Israeli warmaking. The AIPAC network spent nearly $4 million trying to defeat Lee when she was first elected to Congress in 2022, and is likely to spend more this time.

Please help us keep Summer Lee in Congress by donating to her campaign here, thereby encouraging her colleagues to follow her lead.

When only a small number of Congress Members are speaking for the majority of the public, we ought to be able to demonstrate an advantage, even over the deep-pocketed military-industrial complex. Let's show everyone right now!

Besides speaking out for peace and a ceasefire in Gaza, Rep. Summer Lee is a tireless progressive champion on domestic issues — walking picket lines in support of striking workers, supporting LGBTQ+ rights and reproductive health, and battling for transformative reforms such as Medicare for All and a Green New Deal.
