Last week we launched a campaign telling the Democratic National Committee to “convene an emergency meeting of all its members – fully open to the public – as soon as possible.” Hours later, appearing live on MSNBC, Congressman Ro Khanna (D-CA) called for strong resistance measures against the Trumpist attacks on democracy and said: “We also need an emergency DNC meeting that people have called for.” By the time Rep. Khanna spoke, thousands of RootsAction supporters had signed the “Tell the DNC This Is a *%#@! Emergency!” petition that we’re cosponsoring with Progressive Democrats of America.
