The guy slashing funding for various "wasteful" and "expensive" government agencies is himself receiving government contracts for his own companies worth more than many of the items he's eliminating. In fact, the single biggest savings thus far accomplished by Elon Musk and his pseudo-agency DOGE goes unmentioned by DOGE because it is the cancelation of a contract for "armored Teslas" that Musk tried to award to himself but canceled when people heard about it.[1] Most of Musk's contracts are through the secretive, unaccountable Pentagon, for which Congress is dramatically increasing funding, just as under Biden, just as under Trump 1.0, just as under Obama, etc. The Pentagon has never been successfully audited.
