Congresswoman Cori Bush is the top target of the pro-genocide crowd, which is hoping for another Republican-and-AIPAC-funded defeat of a Democrat in a Democratic primary. Bush is picking up the endorsements of various labor unions and Democrats, but that may not be enough to overcome media smears and campaign ads funded by promoters of Israeli propaganda for war. Bush is being challenged in a Democratic primary by a former campaign manager for a rightwing Republican -- a prosecutor who is accepting funding from a long list of Republicans and who has the benefit of major funding from AIPAC, the leading spender of Republican money in supposedly Democratic primaries. Bush has been a rare leading voice for peace and justice. |
