Today the daylight begins increasing each day in the northern hemisphere. The dark days from which we need to emerge are dark indeed. But we're just getting started.

During a recent break in Congressional celebrations of war in Ukraine, the U.S. Senate discovered it did not have a member after all who would force a debate and vote on ending the war in Yemen. Let your Representative and Senators know that you want them to act now more than ever!

Then Ukraine was back with a visit to Washington from its president. On Wednesday, we took the opportunity to demand a shift to diplomacy and negotiations. You can help here.

Progress does happen. At long last major news outlets that benefited from Julian Assange's work at WikiLeaks, and that stand to suffer themselves from that work being made a crime, but which had maintained a shameful silence for years, and -- worse -- pushed misleading government characterizations of Assange, finally spoke up in support of dropping the charges against Assange. We're taking this opportunity to again demand that the charges be dropped.

The New York Times has now partially caught up with what others have been saying for many years about the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC). Two Congress Members have voiced moderate concern as a result. Now may be a moment to demand real action.
