Dear Friend, Since Trump’s inauguration, we’ve seen an alarming increase in the power of billionaires like Elon Musk, now a dominant force in the White House. Musk, the world’s richest man with a net worth estimated at $385 billion, is using his misnamed “Department of Government Efficiency” to gut the federal government. DOGE has ended Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs, placing the most vulnerable communities in danger. He’s terminated thousands of federal employees, undermining many departments including Health and Human Services, Education, Energy, and Veterans Affairs. At a time when epidemics threaten us, hundreds of employees have been terminated at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Institutes of Health.
With Musk’s backing, the Trump administration of billionaires and millionaires is subverting government and chipping away at the livelihood and resources of the working class.
