The United States is too big geographically. You normally have to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to speak with the people supposedly representing you in the House and Senate, or to join a protest in the nation's capital.

Your Representative and your two Senators are in their districts / states. They have offices there, and they are supposed to accept appointments if you want to visit them. Find their offices on their websites, which you can find by going here and typing in your address.
If they won't give you an appointment, we recommend holding a picket line in front of their nearest office until they do -- and telling the local media about it. (Send us your plans -- time, place, contact info, etc. -- and we can promote it to our list in your area.)
There are many issues you may want to raise with your representatives, including one or two suggested by the following list.
