The hosts of the COP28 global climate meeting now underway -- the United Arab Emirates -- look pretty bad for using the event to make more oil deals.

But how does the U.S. government look for its president skipping the meeting while contemplating allowing yet more giant mergers for two of the corporations most responsible for the climate's destruction?

Exxon is attempting to buy up Pioneer Natural Resources for $60 billion. Chevron is trying to purchase Hess for $53 billion. Bigger monopolies mean more power over government. Do we really want that for Exxon and Chevron?

Email the Federal Trade Commission here to stop this.

Exxon knew about the climate crisis in the 1970s and has lied about it ever since, while drilling, drilling, drilling.

Right now Exxon and Chevron are ramping up fossil fuel production.

These corporations need less consolidated power, not more.
