Dear Friend,

The nonstop U.S. wars during the last two decades have directly cost U.S. taxpayers “around $40,000 per household,” Jeffrey Sachs wrote in a Common Dreams article this week.

You probably don’t want to send the IRS money for warfare in the Middle East or anywhere else.

We have a much better idea: Make a tax-deductible donation to the RootsAction Education Fund.

In most cases, a donation now will mean paying less federal tax early next year. And such a donation will support nonstop peace activism.

Whether or not war is on front pages, the RootsAction Education Fund works for peace every day.

Our work includes sponsoring the Defuse Nuclear War campaign -- sharing vital information and organizing nationwide protests for diplomacy instead of war, negotiations instead of nuclear brinkmanship. We also defend whistleblowers who expose the "national security state," as we work for a foreign policy based on human rights and not military-industrial profits.

If you contribute to help that work, you’ll likely reduce your tax bill, and you’ll certainly give a boost to what must be done to challenge the warfare state.

In the process, every donation will strengthen Progressive Hub, the activist website cosponsored by the RootsAction Education Fund that’s filled with daily updates of information -- alongside options for taking action to address dire threats to humanity.

A tax-deductible donation today will help to sustain Progressive Hub in 2024.

We appreciate your support!

With best wishes for the new year,

The RootsAction Education Fund team
