The post office is ours, not oligarchs'. Amtrak is ours, not corporate investors'. Social Security is ours, not Wall Street's. Education belongs to our children, not to school profiteers. Healthcare needs to be a human right, not a scheme to enrich the rich and shorten the lives of the rest of us. Public land is the public's, not the fossil fuel companies'. Defunding and destaffing public programs until they fail, pointing to the failures as grounds for defunding, and so on in vicious cycle -- this is not new but has now been supercharged. It's beyond time to take a stand. We are asking Congress Members to swear an oath to pursue every possible step to prevent, and not a single step in support of, giving away any more of our public wealth to oligarchic profiteers.
