This morning, a petition from the Peace In Ukraine coalition (which includes RootsAction) appeared as an ad in The Hill newspaper in Washington DC. The petition is signed by over one hundred peace and justice organizations, and prominent figures like Dr. Cornel West, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Ray McGovern, and Daniel Ellsberg.

The Hill newspaper is delivered to the DC office of every elected member of Congress, which ensures the pro-peace message will be seen by those with the power to lead a diplomatic end to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Check out the ad and make sure your Congressmember and Senators read it too. Send them a message now and urge them to read it carefully. 

The petition warns, “The longer the war goes on, the greater the danger of spiraling escalation which can lead to a wider war, environmental devastation and nuclear annihilation.”
