As wars are spiraling out of control, we're pursuing presidential, Congressional, local, and global solutions.  We're also working to raise awareness of the risk of nuclear war. The Defuse Nuclear War coalition, led by RootsAction, organized a successful week of action January 8-14 with rallies, vigils, banner drops, and more in places like Philadelphia, PA, Monterey, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Asheville, NC, and Madison, WI. Many focused their activism on supporting a ceasefire to end the violence in Gaza and on educating others on how the conflict increases the risk of nuclear war and the proliferation of nuclear weapons.
