What States Are Doing Four more states will be able to vote for better minimum wage policies in November. We're advancing the cause of locking in decent wages tied to automatically keep pace with the cost of living, working state by state. Three more states have instituted a pause in the use of capital punishment. We're pressing hard state by state, for state killing to be ended and permanently banned everywhere. Our state agenda, advancing state by state, also includes taxing the super-wealthy, banning slavery, ending life-sentences for minors, creating ranked-choice voting, making voter registration automatic, and fixing the electoral college so that another president isn't elected while winning fewer votes. What's Doing at the Federal Level We're also active at the national level, working -- among much else -- to see the best possible Democratic vice-presidential nominee chosen, and to ensure the re-election of three brave Congresswomen: Cori Bush of St. Louis, Ilhan Omar of Minneapolis, and Rashida Tlaib of Detroit. |
