A minimum wage (especially one worth less than it has been in 67 years) should be a minimum. There shouldn't also be a sub-minimum wage.

That wage is paid legally in 43 U.S. states.

No, tips do not make up for this outrage.

In 7 states that pay tipped workers the full minimum wage, there are higher rates of small business growth, restaurant industry growth, and of total tips for workers -- workers who still are often not receiving a living wage.
