We are telling Secretary of State Antony Blinken to resign. Here's why. One of several ways in which U.S. weapons shipments to Israel violate U.S. laws is their violation of the Foreign Assistance Act, which prohibits the United States from providing weapons to any country when the U.S. President is made aware that the country’s government “prohibits or otherwise restricts, directly or indirectly, the transport or delivery of United States humanitarian assistance.” Blinken had been thoroughly informed last spring that Israel was deliberately restricting U.S. humanitarian assistance to Gaza by, among others, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the State Department’s refugees bureau. But Blinken lied to the U.S. Congress that Israel was not restricting aid. Secretary of State Blinken's deception facilitated the continued shipping of weapons to Israel, weapons used in a war that has slaughtered tens of thousands of civilians. The steady flow of weapons has also enriched the weapons companies for which Blinken used to work as an advisor at Pine Island Capital Partners and at WestExec Advisors.
