RootsAction is joining with a big coalition and Congresswoman Cori Bush to tell Democratic electoral candidates to not take money from AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

AIPAC lobbies the U.S. government in support of the agenda of the right-wing Israeli government. This pernicious influence has impacted U.S. foreign policy for years, but in 2022 AIPAC took a step toward greater power. It created a political action committee and began endorsing and funding U.S. political candidates to the tune of millions of dollars. "Funding" is, of course, a euphemism for what is widely understood to be a system of legalized bribery.

And whom did AIPAC PAC endorse last year? Just 109 Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

It gets worse. AIPAC has also formed a new SuperPAC, absurdly named the United Democracy Project. In 2022, it intervened in 10 Democratic-Party primaries to defeat progressive candidates.

The last thing we need is candidates working with AIPAC. Sign now to tell Democratic candidates: Reject support from AIPAC!

AIPAC is a means by which pro-Republican billionaires can help defeat Democratic candidates, including in primaries, if they have the audacity to suggest a progressive foreign (or domestic) policy.
