Israel

Israelis are in the streets for justice and we should support them. RootsAction will be promoting this petition in the media. Please sign it and share it with others.

To the Israeli civil resistance movement:

We stand with you, the Israelis who are taking to the streets, blocking major highways, disrupting politicians, and on strike from your jobs.

We stand with you, the thousands of Israeli reserve soldiers —  among you hundreds of combat pilots and special forces operatives — who have joined the resistance by announcing you will refuse service. You are turning the tide against Netanyahu’s far-right agenda.

We stand with you, as you face fierce backlash from the Israeli government — calling you, the protesters, “anarchists” and “foreign agents”. We stand with you as you face violence from right-wing gangs, who are attacking your protests more and more.

We stand with you as you resist Netanyahu’s legislation that is designed to give the government unchecked power over the judiciary -- thereby enabling full annexation of the West Bank, undermining the rights of women and members of the LGBTQ+ community, restricting religious freedom, and facilitating even more oppression of Palestinians living under Israeli rule and military occupation.

We stand with you against the U.S. government's enabling of Israel's crimes with weapons, funding, training, and blocking the application of international law.

We stand with you, and we call on all people of conscience to stand in solidarity with you, the Israeli resistance movement. We stand with you in your struggle for a true democracy for all. You are not alone.
