This would be a great time to do it. Let's fix the Electoral College problem now.

What do you say we stop allowing candidates who lose the national popular vote to ever enter the White House as president again?

And how about if we compel candidates to pay attention to all states, not just a handful of "battlegrounds"?

Adding your state to the National Popular Vote plan would put us very close to accomplishing these goals.

The green states on the map below have already taken action -- most recently Minnesota. We need a few more!

In two of the past six U.S. elections, the candidate with fewer votes became president -- most recently Donald Trump in 2016. In 2020 we were kept in doubt for days as to whether it had happened again.

And in every presidential race, candidates are forced to focus their attention on a dozen "battleground" states and ignore the vast majority nationwide.

If enough states require their electors to vote for the winner of the nationwide popular vote (rather than the state popular vote), it would fix the problems of the Electoral College without needing to amend the Constitution.

The compact won’t take effect until enough states have joined in. We're now at 16 states plus D.C. and 205 of the needed 270 Electoral College votes. When can your state get on board?
