Dear Friend, I stayed up late watching the results of the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania and I am ecstatic to report that Squad-member Summer Lee has won her bid for re-election by 20 points. Though this victory feels good for now, we can't rest on our laurels. We know that with college students and faculty joining the chorus of us calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza, Republican and AIPAC money will pour in to fuel the Israel-right-or-wrong propaganda machine, including by smearing all those who seek a Gaza ceasefire as “anti-Semites.” Summer Lee’s victory is a win for all of us – and we are just getting started! Our next challenge will be to protect Congressman Jamaal Bowman in NY-16 who is facing a serious challenge from the AIPAC-backed George Latimer. We are at a crucial time; we need to support members of Congress who are fighting for human life and human rights.
