He adds to that Secretary Hegseth proposing 8% cuts per year in military spending, before making clear that he doesn't mean cuts at all, rather shuffling funds around to different (dumber and crazier) projects -- such as billions for a non-functioning "iron dome" missile defense system.

The corporate media, Congress Members, the stock market, and concerned individuals react with passion, confusion, diligence, and bewilderment. But watch the magician's other hand:

In the minor, inside-Capitol Hill debate over whether to do one (as the House GOP wants) or two (as the Senate GOP wants) disastrous "reconciliation" budget bills -- with Trump now siding with the House -- it goes little discussed that both plans include massive increases to military spending!

Normally military spending increases come packaged with increases in human-needs spending. Not this time.
