Trump and his Congressional servants are planning either one or two "reconciliation" bills (bills on spending, and supposedly not on policy, that they can bring to the Senate floor with only 51 votes).

Imagine the worst bill ever. Imagine packing all the downsides of every bill into one massive package with no upsides.

Imagine a piece of legislation no Democrat can concoct a plausible excuse for and some Republicans will find hard to stomach.

Normally military spending increases come packaged with increases in human-needs spending. Not this time. This is shaping up to be legislation to massively increase military spending beyond the Obama increases, Trump increases, and Biden increases, combined with drastic budget cuts to everything good or useful, plus freeing the mega-wealthy and corporations of a lot of what taxes they still pay.

Imagine a bill to end student loan forgiveness, severely limit access to healthcare, open up oil and gas drilling, shift wealth from everyone else to the oligarchs, and move even more of the federal budget into the single area that already swallows the majority of discretionary spending: war and preparations for war.
